Local Area Weather Update | Commercial Flat Roofing Fort Worth
November 6, 2015
A cold front will continue to make slow progress to the south today. Meanwhile the rain that has impacted portions of Central Texas into Northeast Texas overnight is also making some southward progress.
The overall model consensus is we should see a weakening trend continue this morning. A new band of precipitation looks to form this afternoon from parts of the Hill Country into Central Texas. This band of rain is not expected to contain any strong or severe thunderstorms. However moisture levels will remain favorable for the potential of localized heavy rain.
While the overall rain amounts for a given period will remain on the lighter end some folks could pick up half an inch to an inch of rain in a few hour period. A limited flash flooding risk will continue through Saturday. We expect rain chances to continue tonight across South-Central Texas, Southeast Texas, the Brazos Valley, and East Texas. Even on Saturday off and on rain will continue across the Rio Grande Valley, South-Central Texas, the Brazos Valley, Southeast Texas, and East Texas. Finally we should see the best rain chances confined to the Rio Grande Valley by Saturday Night as much cooler air filters into Texas.
